Called and was told Mama Melrose DINNER starts at 5:00??

We want to eat dinner at MM, not lunch. I called Disney Dining and they said lunch in December was from 12:00-3:25 and dinner was from 5:00 until 7:00. I swear I've read about people eating dinner earlier than 5:00 there unless the hours change in December. Has anyone made Dec. reservations for DINNER and if so, was it really 5:00 and after?

I have seen Dining reports where people had dinner at 4pm (the waiter told them to wait 2 minutes until the clock turned over to give them the menus for dinner).

I checked thed dinner menu at Disney's website and it has no information....as usual.

Once again the "it depends on whatever disney decides that day" answer applies.

Might be shorter park hours so the dining times are adjusted with that.

I have been trying for almost a week to make a dinner reservation at Mama Melrose for 12/07/09. I can find nothing. The latest time offered during any attempted booking either by calling or online has been 3:20pm, which is still lunch. I also attempted to find openings at any of the other TS offerings that same night, and again, there was nothing available after 4:00pm at any of them. I tried booking as a party of 2, which we are and even looking for a table for 3, 4, or 5, with similar results.

I keep hoping that this is some sort of error and that Disney will catch it and I will be able to make a dinner reservation for us. So far, no luck, but I keep checking, day after day. Maggie

We are talking about December of 2009 here. There seems to be some sort of glitch in their system that has made dinner reservations unbookable for at least a part of the month. Maggie

Last December we did the Fantasmic dining package and our dinner was scheduled at 3:30 (the only time we could get). We got there at 3:20 and although the restaurant was not crowded, they told us they could not seat us until exactly 3:30 because that was when dinner started.

Sorry, I guess I didn't read that very carefully. I guess that's what I get for posting at work.

I did hear that there is a menu change coming up that would make one menu all day, so anyone can now order dinner at any time..
