We drove to Disneyland tonight from Salt Lake City using I-15. I am totally lost here without my GPS, but there seems to be some construction on the Northbound lanes of I-15 and traffic was backed up forever. Normally this wouldn't make me think twice with Cali traffic, but it was backed up that bad at midnight!!!

Is this a night project only? When I go home on Monday, I want to avoid this if it is a major traffic jam because of the construction. Any input is appreciated, like...."Don't worry, it's just night construction", or "Take this freeway to blah, then over to blah", etc..

I know the area of the Cajon Pass has been being worked on a lot in the last few months, particularly on the weekends. But I have no idea about what times they're working on it. Most of the time we have freeway signs that mention the construction, such as what area they're working on and what dates, but I haven't seen any. If you could say where exactly the construction was, it might be more helpful.

Try the Caltrans web site. They will give you all highway construction and closure schedules.
