California

Hi Ladies
I have just priced 3 weeks, flying in and out of San Fran. 9-30th Oct 06, this includes Half term week. 4 nights in San Fran, 1 night in Carmel,1 night in Santa barbara, 2 nights in downtown hollywood, 5 nights in LA near the parks, 1 night in San diego, 5 nights in LV at the Luxor, 2 nights in Yosemite. All accomodaton and flights with Virgin. £4115. I did not think this was too bad. This does not include a car or spends or disney tickets so probably looking at another Grand plus spends. Not cheap but what a holiday.

Sounds like quite a holiday. We did the Coast from SF to LA in 2003 and it was lovely :) Next year going inland from SF to LV and really looking forward to it. If you need anymore ideas I have my trip reports from 2003, just PM for the details :)

Claire ;)

Hi Bellis belle, that price is really good!, i think i will give the VH brochure a proper going over tonight! :goodvibes Claire thanks for all your advice, i'm gonna stick with VH and follow your tips-might mean a pm or two i'm afraid ;) .I think i will stick :cheer2: to october.Bellis belle how old are your children-i'm dreading eldest DS ,who will then be 13 missing a day, but he's never had a day off to date and they are not doing tests ect in october are they-better find out :goodvibes .

Thanks Claire will do. HappyT my eldest DD will be just 12 and youngest DD 9. My school have said that they are happy to permit a max of 10 days in school time until year 9 and 10 when they have then got to knuckle down for exams etc. I think Oct is a good time to go, cool and probably less crowded in the disney parks. Need to do some more research before booking with VH. A flydrive was coming up 3016 so I think the one with accom all in is a better deal. Just been to the theatre so going to bed now. Night night. :)

keep in mind that hollywood is not exactly a great neighborhood....you might want to stay someplace else and just sightsee there...
also, 5 nights in LV is a very long time.....hopefully you'll like it (we HATED it)...we were scheduled there for that long and in the end i paid out of pocket to get us out of there 2 days early.........however, perhaps in october you can do some sightseeing of the parks outside of LV....we were there in July so we couldn't even get to the red canyon due to the heat....

Thanks for starting the thread, this also interests me,ive sent you a PM claire L
