Is this ride currently open? We will be there Aug 10-13 and it is my son's fav but I'm not sure if it is open ... or still closed from the accident.

I understand that it is open, but does not open until 1:00 on weekdays due to the constructions of a new ride "Toy Story Mania".

BUT, they are opened from Morning to Night on Sat and Sun since the workers are lazy and dont work on Sat Sun like the rest of the CM

I havent heard of any accidents except for when it breaks down and the riders get stuck on the ride

There was an accident a few years back (sent some folks to the hospital), but its been back for quite some time since that accident.

Okay, that's what I thought. When I was there in January. The ride got stuck with riders at the very tippy top before the highest drop. I imagine they had the best views There were also riders 'stuck' on the launching pad too.

i got stuck on the launching pad when i was there in june 2005 and they got us out and gave us free fast passes for up to four people.
