California Screamin accident?

What happened? Me and My brother are curious :confused3

A train bumped into another train. Trains were backed up into the station and somehow the computer system failed and let another train through without holding it until the way was clear. No one was seriously injured. Everyone was checked out and released.

It is hard to say when the ride will be reopened but it is not up to Disney it is up to DOSH to give the all clear. Becasue no one was killed I imagine it will not be as long as others have been. Big thunder was closed for a year I believe when they had there accident. Basically DOSH has to inspect the ride and do an investigation. I personally don't think it will be opened anytime soon at least for a month maybe longer. That is okay you want to make sure the ride is safe before you ride it again. It sounds like it was a software problem and that needs to be fixed so it does not happen again.

We'll be there in two weeks and my DS will just be CRUSHED if it's not open! Maybe they'll get all the kinks worked out by then. *fingers crossed*

"Crushed" might not be the best choice of words in the aftermath of a rollercoaster accident. ;)

But I know what you mean. We have been planning our trip for next week, Aug 1-4, for about 6 months. To have Screamin' down is a bummer. :sad1:
