I wanted to start a roll call for us CA DVCers! I didn't see one already, so if there is one, please let me know!

We own at AKV and bought in September 2008. Planning our first DVC stay with our developer points at SSR next August.

We are in South Orange County - about 22 miles south of Disneyland.

I do not know if there is another thread so I will join you here. I live in Riverside. We purchased 100 pts at SSR in May. Our first trip to a DVC is 4 weeks from today!

Los Angeles here. I own 200 points at the Wilderness Lodge and live in the Mid Wilshire area.

We also have AP's for DL but don't plan to purchase out here because we can do DL in a day or stay off Harbor Blvd for much less.

Our next trip is July '09. We also save our points for WDW. I often get a room at a 3star hotel for $41 in Anaheim.

Checking in from California snow country. We live in the mountains above a small town called Susanville - its about 100 miles north of Lake Tahoe. We have 180 points at SSR and 110 at AKV. We just returned a couple of weeks ago from 16 days at SSR. It was great

We live in Martinez (about 40 miles east of SF). We purchased DVC - OKW back in 93 (sight unseen) and have never regreted our decision. We only go every other year but usually stay 10 days. We're anxiously waiting for our next trip. We'll be staying at a studio at OKW for one week then going on the 7 day western cruise all on our points.

My aunt and uncle live nearby in Magalia. They were snowed in a few weeks ago!

We're from Granite Bay, about 20min east of Sacramento. We joined in Jan 08 with 225pts at SSR. Our first trip home was going to be 8 days at SSR and VWL at the end of this month, but I'm now having unexpected back surgery in 2 days It was the hardest thing to make that call and cancel. But, since we had to use the points by Aug this year and we are already going to WDW for a few nights in Oct before our 7 night Disney Cruise, I decided to splurge and use the points for 5 concierge nights at the Grand Californian. I know it's not the wisest use of points, but I now can't wait for May!

We are going to buy a small add on at VGC. I just couldn't see not being able to stay there when it's so close, and I love that hotel. Also, our DLR trips are usually 5-7 nights since it's a day's drive or we have to fly..
