California letters removal?

Does anyone know when the California letters are supposed to be removed? I can't remember or seem to find a projected date for it and can't remember if I actually read a projected date for it anywhere.

I am not sure but would like to know also. Our boys all start with the letter "C" so we make it a point to take their pictures in front of the "C" every time we visit...we will miss that even though we are looking forward to a better park....

January 2010 according to micechats project tracker. When they start to redo the maingate they will rip them out. Word is that some of the bricks will fall victim of the redo also ? Hope not too far out in the esplanade that's where ours is

Thank you so much! I knew there was somewhere I was forgetting to look for info. At least I'll have one last chance to do photos near the letters. It's a bummer about some of thee bricks though if that ends up happening. If I had a brick I would be crossing everything I could that mine wasn't in harms way.

I guess it would be more accurate to say anytime between Jan 2010 and December 2010; because the site does say start Jan but completed in December lol

So they need 1.2 months per letter, huh? Come to think of it, it'll be interesting to see how that will effect hopping from one park to the other since you probably wont be able to walk through a construction zone, lol. I probably wont be back until it's completed though, not after September.

Apparently there will be a new temporary entrance.
it was supposed to be by studio 12 which I do not know where that is? But they have changed the location, for now, to an unknown lol
you'd think it would have to be big enough to accomodate all the new "world of color" visitors that show is going to pack em in!

Well Dizzymommyx4 we will just have to make sure we get the pics in September - i know i plan on getting my 3 girls that have letters pics taken as well - i am hoping to maybe get us all together with the whole thing - may have to be late or really early.

I'm so glad they are still there, when i first read about them i was worried they wouldnt be there for my visit but glad I will get the chance to get my photo by the letters
