Hello,
We're having dinner at Narcoossee's and thought we might have an after dinner drink at California Grille. I've never eaten here so don't know what the bar setting is like. Given there is a lounge available, anyone care to share their experiences? Would this be a place to catch the fireworks?
Many thanks,
Kate

The lounge gets very busy starting about an hour before the fireworks. Unfortunately the lounge area is small and fills quickly, plus those waiting for tables tend to wait there as well. The best time to get a seat or have drinks is when it opens around 5:30pm.

You might consider going over and watching the fireworks on the outside viewing area then come inside for a drink. As many will leave once the fireworks are over with.

Another suggestion is to go over to the Poly, depending on when you are going the pool bar is open and you can sit on the beach and watch the fireworks with your drink. There are all kinds of chairs and swings to sit on.

I suggest seeing WISHES from Narcoossee's. During our November trip, my DH and DD had dinner there and thought WISHES was great from Narcoossee's as well as from the Polynesian where we were staying. We also saw it from California Grill and didn't enjoy it as much as WISHES is more impressive when it's centered around the castle. And as Grumpy said, the bar area is very crowded at fireworks time.

California Grill is a must do for us but not for WISHES. The bartenders there are very friendly and professional. Have fun however you do it.

Hi - we are in the planning stages for our upcoming trip and I heard that the California Gril was a great place to watch the Wishes fireworks. Is this wrong?? My concern is that my Daughter has a hearing/noise issue and wants to see fireworks, so I thought that watching them from inside the rest while we eat would be a great idea. Any suggestions???

Ima of 2, CG is a good place to watch WISHES.We just don't think it's as good as Narcoossee's or the Polynesian and since Gator Kate was already dining at Narcoossee's, I though I'd mention my family's experience.

Don't know how severe your daughter's problem is but one other thing about the main room at CG is that it is a large open kitchen restaurant with tons of windows. A great restaurant but not quiet in the least. Your daughter might be much more comfortable watching from the outside deck. There apparently is also one on the fourth floor of the CR, too. I've seen others post about watching the fireworks from the ferry or even just the ferry dock at the TTC. Those could be quiet options for your daughter. 'Ohanna at the Polynesian is another idea although I know they have games for kids there too so don't know if that would be too loud.
