I must admit that, while we are dressing up because it's our anniversary dinner, I am even more excited about the idea because I look a lot better now than I did for our wedding ten years ago. I was very overweight then and steadily gained more weight, but just this year I've lost 65 pounds, so I really want to knock my dh dead in my new duds! However, there will be NO counting of calories on the night of CG. I am eating whatever my little heart desires that night!

Everything was perfect! We all had the filet. Hubby had the cheese plate (new) for appetizer, DD had the caesar salad (excellent taste), I had the salmon flatbread. We were almost too full for the entrees! I had the apple tarte for dessert. DD had the chocolate bombe (without the PBJ) and they brought out a cake for the B-day boy. Again, everything was perfect (I was worried since it was a special evening...)d

Wow, the meal sounds phenomenal. What did you have for your entrees? Did anyone have the pork dish? I've heard great things about it, and, being from the South, I am a fan of "the other white meat."

How was the b-day cake arranged? I've been mulling over the idea of ordering a cake, but I am not sure it is worth it for just the two of us for an anniversary. They look so pretty on the cake thread though!

Thanks! It was so much fun to go and buy a dress in a department store and not have a limited choice. I must have tried on twenty dresses ...just becauseI could! lol

Maybe we'll see you there. Our ADR is for 7:30 p.m. We will be wearing business casual clothes. We are hoping to see Wishes outside after dinner. Enjoy your meal!

How fun! We'll be pretty dressed up. I'll be in a purplish dress and hubby will have gray slacks and a tie. He may be the one having a coronary over the prices, too. He's a bit of a cheapskate, but he's willing to splurge for that one night.

We all had the filet. I didn't order a cake because my hubby doesn't eat cake. They just brought a slice of awesome chocolate for him (we had the chocolate bombe and apple tarte). He ate all of his slice (with us helping!)

Perfect evening. I wasn't impressed the first time we went about 5 yrs. ago. This one more than made up for it!

It is your special night......you dress however you want. I have been there and seen people dressed up and I have seen them casual. As long as you are comfortable and enjoying the evening, I would dress for the occasion.

That is what I was going to say. We have dined here for special occasions and never felt that anyway was so dressed down it ruined our experience. We like to dress up when we go to CG!
