Does anyone know if the lounge/bar is open at the California Grill?
thank you

Yes it is. Also I’ve heard people have pretty good luck walking up to the bar without a reservation and then they can order off the full dinner menu.Does anyone know if the lounge/bar is open at the California Grill?

Do they allow kids at the bar seats?Unless this has changed very recently, the lounge space is being used for regular tables given the spacing requirements / need to make up some real estate - not for walk-up lounge seating. The bar, however, is open with limited seating (we’ve eaten at the bar several times since reopening).

Thanks! Our guy is only seven but is a seasoned restaurant diner, loves CA Grill, and would be fine sitting at the barYes, I don’t believe there is any age restriction at the bar. I usually get some sideways comments around here when I post such experiences, but I sat at the bar in December with my 10 year old with no issue.
What time did you walk up, if you recall? In December, we walked up and asked if there were any seats available at the bar. 5 minutes later we were allowed to head up. We ordered food and drinks. Me, wife, 9 and 7 year old daughters ate at the bar. And now I will dream about the Spicy Kazan Roll. Yum!![]()

Ha, sounds like you’re doing it right to me! My condolences to your wallet though. Not sure where I went wrong as a parent but mine now eats off the adult menu in most places. At CG he ordered a more expensive entree than me!
lol. that was my younger brother growing up--he'd always zero in on the 'surf-n-turf' level entree which would always be the most expensive thing on the menu. Not sure where I went wrong as a parent but mine now eats off the adult menu in most places. I was able to get a table for two 6 weeks outHave a reservation in June (too far out of course for booking) but looking at availability looks like reservations at California Grill are still hard to get (even more so maybe with less tables!). Looking to plan a birthday dinner for 2 sometime over a 5 day period and anyone have success at making a recent reservation (perhaps during your early hotel reservation window)?
