Hi
I'm wondering about how to dress to go there ..
My husband plan on a nice pair of pants, a shirt and tie will this be ok ???? or will he need a jacket ??
I plan on wearing a dress so I should be ok ..and we are also going at YC Yatsman ( not sure about spelling it right )steakhouse will pants / shirt / tie be ok there ??
thanks

The signature "dress code" does not disallow anything except the following: hats and tank tops for men, torn clothing, cutoff shorts, swimsuits, and tee shirts with "offensive" slogans or pictures. Your husband will definitely not need a tie unless he wants to wear one.

We just ate there last Wednesday night. We were all in jeans. Lots of people were. A tie is not necessary, but would be OK if your hubby likes that kind of thing. Mine wears one to weddings and funerals. That is it. :lmao:

Last time DH and I went California Grill there were actually alot of people in dresses and slacks. We had just come from the park, with jeans and tshirts and felt a little out of place. Next time we go, we plan on dressing up a bit more.

I ate at the California Grill twice, as well as other Signature restaurants in various resorts. In order to feel comfortable, I would suggest to dress more formally than a typical day at the amusement park, that is, to avoid shorts (I have to say I went during winter months), jeans or t-shirts, although these clothes are permitted. "Casual Friday" business dress code is more appropriate.

I wear suit and tie daily for work. I would be reluctant to wear these clothes when I'm in vacation. However, I don't think it would be "overdress" for these restaurants, but they definitely are not required.

Our favorite place to eat at WDW!!!! :cool1: We have eaten there well over 30 times. Winter = jeans and sweater or sweatshirt. Summer = cargo shorts and hawiian shirt.

Honestly, it's up to you and what you're comfortable in. When some friends and I ate at the California Grill, we dressed up. Heels...nice dresses...the guys wore button up shirts, with nice slacks (no ties or coats..).

While we were dressed up, we saw a handful of families wearing what they wore to the parks that day...
They won't turn you away just because you aren't dressed to perfection. It's Disney, they understand.
:goodvibes

We've worn jeans and a nice shirt to the California Grill and fit right in. We saw nice dresses as well as someone who wore that horrible tigger spring hat during the entire meal. That prompted a few laughs.

I'd suggest not dressing up unless you really WANT to. You certainly don't have to.
Been a long time since I've seen any man in a coat or tie at any Disney restaurant other than V&A. And very few times have we seen a lady in a dress at any restaurant. Almost always it's shorts, slacks or blue jeans.

There's no need for a tie & especially not a jacket, unless you want to get dressed up. For all signatures we wore nice slacks & I've worn capris and a nice top. I saw jeans and t's too and people were still seated.

That is actually more than enough. Just nice pants and a nice shirt are fine. My husband and I hate eaten at both. I wore a sundress and he wore khakis and a polo shirt. Enjoy your meals, they are both delicious!

What you're planning on wearing is more then appropriate, and I wouldn't even bother with the tie unless he wants to wear it.

Casual business for men is fine, ie: slacks and a nice polo or golf shirt. No need for a tie unless he wants to really dress up. I believe the only Disney restaurant that requires jacket and tie is Victoria & Alberts. enjoy your vacation and your meal. :cool1::banana::banana:

I don't think V&A even requires a tie, just a jacket. I ate there in October 2008 and remember there being about three men in the dining room who were wearing jackets but no ties.

We ate there last Wednesday. Believe me, you see everything, from jeans and tee shirts to nice dinner clothes. As noted in earlier threads, there is a dress code. It depends on whether you're coming directly from the parks or going out for dinner only. We've done both and always felt at home.
