We've never been here but have heard lots of good things out it so i'm thinking of changing one dinner for CG but i have a couple of questions

1. can you see the fireworks from the restaurant?
2. if yes can we request a window castle view or is it pretty much first come first serve
3. if yes what time would be the best to set to enjoy the fireworks during the meal or at least dessert?
4. if no is there a viewing area in or near the restaurant?
5. i'm sure i've seen pictures of the meals but can't find any now - anyone know where i can see what the food looks like?
6. do they do anything special for birthdays?

Kurby, Thanks for asking these questions! I was wondering the same things myself. Searching for information about California Grill is sometimes difficult because people call it so many things, California Grill, Cali, CG, etc. Have fun at dinner!

Provided you get seated on time, even an hour before fireworks is ok for dinner. You'll be somewhere IN the meal when the fireworks begin, but just get up and go out on the deck with almost all of the rest of the restaurant. When it's over, just resume the meal!!

We got super lucky when we were there for our anniversary in July, we went in and all the way to the left by the window, we were able to see both Wishes and ROE from our seats while we ate, it was truly amazing.
