What time should I make the ADR if we want to stay and watch the fireworks from California Grill. Let's say the fireworks are at 9pm.

I have never been here before is there an actual observation deck you can walk out onto? or can I request a window seat. Any help/info appreciated!!!

Ask when you call and they will tell you a good time. The meal took us about 2hours. Everyone wants a window seat, so no promises when you reserve. Mention it when you check in, and check in early. There is an observation deck though. If fact, I think there are two. One is more for the banquet rooms. For us, our meals actually arrived during the fireworks, it was not quite what I expected. The desserts were pretty tasty!

I always make our's for 1 hr 45 min to 2 hrs. before Wishes. it's definately not a rushes meal and you can sloooowwww things down if you want. Have a great time!!!:goodvibes

So, if my reservation if at 8, and Wishes is also at 8, can I show up a bit early, hopefully get a seat and then walk out to see the show while maybe sipping a cocktail?

You can, or at least a few years ago, go up the elevator to California Grill and there is a lounge area for people to sit and relax while waiting to be called in for dinner. There is a bar that can serve too. When Wishes start there are doors to the outside you can take your wine out to and sip under the stars with "Wishes" music playing and fireworks glowing.

Done it a number of times(Though I think I always got my table before wishes started)

hi there - we recently ate at CG - res was for 7:30 - fireworks were scheduled for 8:00. We were seated about 7:45. Our server was great - we ordered our drinks and meals and he asked if we were going to stay at our tables for wishes or if we would like him to hold our meal order and have the first course delivered after the end of wishes. We ordered everything and relaxed, going outside with our drinks for wishes and coming inside to enjoy our appetizers which came not too long after we were back and seated.

If you have ADR's they will usually let you up early. But don't count on getting anyplace to sit. The small bar and lounge area is usually packed prior to fireworks time.

Thanks for all the replies. :)

1) Probably not.
2) In fact, the odds are really slim.
3) Near fireworks time, most people hang onto their tables.
4) In fact, some make ADR's 2-hrs early to see fireworks.
