California Grill to Undergo Refurb?

Anyone know the answer to this?
Heard some scuttlebut to this effect, but no dates, etc.
We have an ADR there for the fireworks on July 3 - but will look into something else if it looks like it will be during that time.
What have you heard?

This rumour seems to surface every few months or so. I wouldn't worry. They wouldn't have given you an ADR if the restaurant was scheduled to be closed at that time. If for some strange reason they had to close the place with little notice, those having ADRs would be notified and other arrangements made.

I read about this several months ago. I believe it was rumored to be planned for late 2012. I don't think you have to worry.

It is a widespread rumor but is still just a rumor, there aren't even any official rumblings from Disney yet about it.

A bartender at The Wave, employed at WDW since the early nineties, told us last week that while Disney plans to update the California Grill it won't be for "at least" another year. He knows of no plans to close it entirely. His quote: "Disney realizes it's got too good a concept to lose."
