Is it possible to stop up at the California Grill for a drink and an app? I'd love to stop by but we're not planning on eating there. Thanks!

You can if there is room. If not, the CMs on the 2nd floor will not grant you elevator access to get up to CA Grill. The closer to fireworks, the less likely there will be room in the lounge since people waiting for tables usually grab all of the lounge seating.

If it's important to you, I'd try to get up there early in the evening.

We were just there in August and was told by CM (manager) that Cali will no longer allow anyone without a reservation in until after the fireworks are over. I have been there and that bar had been jammed with people waiting for the fireworks and those who wanted to dine or sit at the bar for cocktails had no where to sit.

Perhaps I'll stop and ask. We would be there around 5:30 before we head over to Citricos. Really I'm just curious about it and would like to have a drink and check out the view. We certainly will not wait for the fireworks to start. I'll take a chance and see what they say. Thanks!

If Joanna the bartender is there, say hi to her. She's a blast!

Interesting...did you interpret this as all night prohibition until after fireworks? (which wuold be a major departure from last several years) Or not letting folks go up w/out ADR around time of fireworks?

Anyone else experience a recent lounge visit (without ADRs)?

I have a couple of 9:15PM reservations next month 15 mins before Hallowishes. I'll sure be ticked if I can't find a bar seat or someplace to wait for our table due to people who just popped in without a reservation during peak time.

We've done this several times before with no problem. Granted, we arrive early in the evening, so that probably helps. It doesn't surprise me if they start limiting it though...it can get kinda crazy up there...

What about those people who want to eat at their Sushi Bar since they don't accept ADR's for it and you need to ask the 2nd floor check-in desk if there are seats available.
