Ok, this was our favorite meal of the trip!
We had the triple cheese flatbread, which had some sundried tomatoes on it. It was a little greasy, but tasted good. My husband ate most of it.
He ordered the filet with teryaki sauce, asparagus, and truffle mashed potatoes. The beef was perfectly cooked and the sauce was delish. Everything was cooked to perfection and wonderful.
I ordered the pork tenderloin and substituted truffle mashed potatoes for the polenta, and it came with grilled mushrooms. It was delicious and cooked to perfection. The pork was tender and cooked perfectly, the mushrooms were also excellent.
I had the house Chardonnay, do not remember what it was called but it was good. My husband ordered a drink from the drink menu and was brought the wrong drink. He asked the waitress if the drink she brought was the California Sunset and she said yes, but we later found out it was actually a flirtini she had brought. We thought it odd that it was a martini when he had not otdered a martini but she insisted it was the correct drink. The service was eh. The waitress was ok but very frazzled, but we gave her a break since the table next to us was ripping her a new one when we were seated. She was flustered and brought the wrong drink, that would have been ok if she had admitted it and corredcted it when given the chance, but she did not. I am not sure why but this really irritated me when I found out. The bill had the correct drink name and when I pointed it out to her she just stared at me. Nothing to say. Not sure what she did that made the other couple so angry, but well, I can see how that could happen.
Overall, food was excellent and our favourite of the trip. The magical experience of going on the deck for wishes was one of my most favorite dining experiences to date. The waitress did hold the meals so we could go watch Wishes, so we did not end up with cold food. She did try to convince us to stay inside to watch so we could eat and watch, but we insisted on going outside. Not sure why she did that, maybe it is nice to see from inside? But we were not at a window seat and the window seat people were not going outside so we would not have had a view.
