California Grill reservations

I just booked my ADR's for our Nov 30- Dec 7 trip and was able to get everything I wanted BUT the California Grill. There was no availability for the entire week. Are they taking reservations yet or is this just my rotten luck?!

I think I read somewhere a couple of days ago that they are only making limited reservations for California Grill because they aren't sure to the opening date. I know it was supposed to be the end of August, but maybe that has changed. I would call 407-WDW-DINE and ask them when reservations can be made for December.

We are at BLT from Nov. 30-Dec. 7th.
I also tried today and nothing...but then I had to call anyway to book WAT and the Luau and asked...they said they didn't know yet, but to keep checking the Blog...

I was told the opening date is still in August sometime..

Just talked to a young lady in reservations; still nothing in the way of making plans for CG dining in early October...

Thanks so much for the responses. I will keep checking. I made a reservation for BOG for the night we wanted Cali Grill. It is a MVMCP night and we are not going to the party but wanted to see the fireworks from the lounge at BLT. I love the CG but since we go at least twice a year I will get it another time if not this time.

The best place to watch for this is either the Restaurant board or the Contemporary Resort lovers thread on the resort board. This way, you get a broader knowledge pool that DVC members.

They're not taking reservations for that week yet. The CM I spoke with told me to check Allears for updates on the refurb. It kind of struck my funny bone that Disney is recommending checking someone else's website.

That is a hoot! I'm not even going until April but can't wait. It'll be our 1st ADR there, very excited!

Not a single reservation for Cali Grill has been loaded into the system. You haven't been shut out, no one has been let in yet. They're running behind on the refurb. It was supposed to be done at the end of July and the CR manager said they're hoping for late August now, but no date has been set.
