Hello-

What time do you recommend making reservations at the CGrill if we want to see the Fireworks? What do you think of a 9 1/2 year old DD at CGrill? Finally, what transportation method would you recommend for a family staying at the AKL (no car)? Any ideas on what a taxi would cost?

I'd make ressies an hour and a half before fwks are scheduled to begin. CG service is pretty prompt, so you should be around desert time when things get started. Your 9 yr. old will really like this place. Bringing my 9yo neice who we brought when she was 6. THIS was her favorite restaurant. Good menu for kids, and they bring crayons for writing on the paper tablecloth. I know that sounds very low class, but don't be mislead. Only the CG can pull off crayons and paper and sophisticated beauty all at the same time. Just love trhis place!

a taxi should not be too much. you could also take the bus to MK and either: walk, monorail, or boat to the contemp. california grill is great. when we were there in december, there were quite a few children. your daughter will have a great time! happy eating!

Claudia I would plan the meal so that you're finishing as the fireworks start - that way you can take a bus back to AKL from Magic Kingdom bus stops just a short walk away.

Contemporary to AKL is one of the greater distances on property. It costs approx $20 with tip from Yacht Club to MK! Another route if your late is to get a bus from Contemporary to Downtown Disney and then change there but this would take some time.

We watched fireworks at 9.30 and were seated at our table for 7.45 - that worked out well for us.
