California Grill Q

We're local and we often come to Disney to do one-on-one time with our kids. My oldest has requested watching Wishes from one of the resorts (he's so over the MK crowds during Wishes). I was thinking it would be cool if we could get some sushi from California Grill and watch from up there.. how does that work? Is there, like.. a lounge or bar where we could order some sushi from, rather than getting an ADR (we wouldn't want a whole meal)? Would it be too crowded during Wishes?

Make the ADR. It is entirely acceptable to have an ADR and order apps or sushi.

It would be better to make a reservation and order sushi. If your reservation is early in the evening you can go back up for fireworks by showing your dining receipt at the second floor podium.

There is a lounge/bar at CG that does not take reservations, but it can get crowded around fireworks time because many want to go up without a reservation just to see fireworks. It is also the waiting area for those with reservations. If it gets too crowded the hostesses on the second floor will only let those with a reservation or receipt from earlier in the evening go up.
