Hi there - has anyone had their kids at Pixar Play Zone while you enjoyed a date night at California Grill? ADR day is in a couple of weeks and I was thinking of trying to snag a table for the two of us around 8:00 if I can also get 4 & 7 year old a reservation to play. If you did, how did you fill the rest of your time?

I was also thinking about a date night in Disney Springs.

Thanks!

Not at Cali Grill, but we did this same thing at Artist Point. Dropped off at Pixar around 5, or whenever they opened. Then took the boat to WL, had a cocktail at the Territory Lounge, then our meal at the restaurant. Dinner took the better part of two hours, never rushed or feeling like we we neglected either. We took the boat around the lagoon on our way back to Contemporary. Explored the resort a bit, asked if the child wanted to watch fireworks (no interest there) went to the Lounge nearby, can't remember name, sat for a bit, then went to watch fireworks in the balcony.
All in all I don't remember too much time filing. We enjoyed it so much that next time the plan is to do the same but with Citricos. Good Luck!

Just in terms of logistics I would go ahead and book the Pixar time before the ADR window opens if possible. Would give you more flexibility in choosing a restaurant no matter what locale. We did that last year when several kiddos were in attendance and the Poly child center (Stitch's?) was still open. Allowed us more wiggle time to pick a restaurant all adults could agree on.

We dropped my son at contemporary when PPZ opened then monorailed to Poly. Drink at Trader Sam’s, then walked to GF and had drinks at Mizner’s then monorailed back to Contemporary for our Cali Grill reservation. Great use of the time for us.

We did this and it was not only a fun night but very convenient. We dropped our daughter off at Play Zone and went upstairs to CG for dinner. After Dinner we went for drinks to the Wave Bar. After we finished at the Wave we picked her up and headed back to CG for HEA. I checked ahead of time to make sure it was OK to bring her up even though she didn't dine with us. They said it was fine.
