California Grill or Morimoto Asia

Any thoughts to help me decide between these 2? We've never done either. It's me, husband, kids ages 14, 12 & 9. I think we'd like the food better at Morimoto - all 5 of us love Asian food, but I'm torn about the cool, fun, different experience everyone talks about at Cali Grill. Any advise would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

You and your husband might enjoy California Grill more than your children, unless they are real foodies? That said, if you really enjoy Asian food everyone might enjoy Morimoto Asia as a family, and save California Grill for date night with your husband!

We have eaten at CG with the kids several times at various ages and we always liked it. Morimoto reviews have been all over the place. If you don't mind their prices then Morimoto's might be best. easywdw has reported the prices there have gone up over 30% since it opened last year.

I love CG but the decor at morimoto is fabulous. We hope to try it next time since we all love sushi.

If your kids love fireworks, then CG. If they don't care, Morimoto.

We went to Morimoto's opening week and were sadly very underwhelmed. I was hoping for a spectacular menu. Other than the sushi which we do not eat, there was nothing special.
California Grill is our absolute favorite restaurant anywhere, ever. We look forward to visiting there every year. Your kids are old enough they should appreciate it. Then you can either watch Wishes from the observation deck, or have a 10 minute walk to MK for the evening parade and viewing Wishes in the Park. Our Cali Grill / MK night is always one of my favorites. (This year it will be the exciting finale for our first Four Parks One Day adventure.)

Thanks. We are on the dining plan (for free), so the prices are fine. I decided to do the signature, because after making my ressies, we still had 2 TS left over and only 1 meal that worked for a TS dinner, so it seemed like the perfect time to try a signature! Maybe, we'll stick with Morimoto - I don't like sushi, but it's actually my husband AND all 3 kids favorite food!

The sushi at CG is amazing! It was by far the best thing we had there. My 11 yo loved it as much as I did.
