We have not eaten at California Grill in years, so I can't be much help on that one. However, we have eaten at Concourse 2x in the last 3 trips. The food is always very good. We have not been rushed along like they do at some of the other restaurants. DD7 always enjoys their desserts. One time it was a cookie served on an artist's palette with the icing as "paints" complete with a paintbrush to decorate.

There is also quite a $$ difference between the 2 restaurants. CG I believe is 2 table service credits if you're on the dining plan, while Concourse is only 1.

I'm sure others will have some good advice!

I have eaten at both restaurants. If you are looking for solid regular steaks, chicken, or ribs served with mashed potatoes, caesar salads and onion rings-casual steak fair than Concourse is a great choice. When are you going- I am not sure when Concourse is closing, but not till after the 1st of the year. So you are safe for the next few months.

California Grill is a different dining experience. Dinner will probably take over an hour easy. I love the place because of its large variety of appetizers, first courses and entrees. The food here is Californian cuisine, for instance I had the cold lobster salad with frisee and an orange vinaigrette. For dinner I had grilled pork tenderloin with creamy goat cheese whipped potatoes, cremini mushrooms and a zinfandale reduction. It is a wonderful restuarant-do check out the menus and compare to see what the rest of your party thinks.

The entrees at CG are complex in nature-but delicious. If people in the party are not so adventurous I would probably stick with the Concourse. Have fun. :)

Which is the better choice? Please define better. What is it you are looking for? Is good service important? Price? Quality of food? Entertainment/distractions for the children? Special diets?

If you don't mind the price and can stand a big emphasis on presentation, then CG might be the better choice? If you are after some good meat & potatoes kind of meal, then Concourse might be better.

Concourse is a pretty "average" steakhouse. But price-wise it costs less than CG, which is bit more upscale. CG also has the "view" if that is important.
For us the choice is easy--California Grill.

you cant compare the 2.

Concourse is more of a higher end sizzlin.....CG is an actuall high end restaraunt.

Concourse steak house is VERY good but Cakifornia Grill is very fancy, and its a great place if your willing to spend money and its also really good for a couples dinner date. So if you have a family going with you then i would go to Concourse Steak House
