California Grill OOP kid meal???

Just made an ADR for California Grill for December. My DD will turn 11 on our trip. There is NOTHING on the CG adult menu that she would eat. I most certainly don't wait to waste 2 TS credits for her to not eat her food. Will I be allowed to let her order of the childrens menu and just pay OOP for her?

I'd say just pay for her OOP, especially if it doesn't look like she'd enjoy anything off the adult menu--you can use those two TS credits elsewhere. I don't know if this helps, but when my family went last year, they paid OOP for my then eight-year-old sister everywhere, so they could save her credits for other things--Disney does not distinguish between child/adult credits. It made more sense, since child meals cost a lot less than adult meals.

They didn't distinguish then, but they do now. Not a problem for the OP (whose DD is an adult for DDP purposes), but I couldn't (for example) pay OOP for my DD4's mac-n-cheese and use her TS credits for anything except some other TS kid's meal.

Ok thanks for the advice! Yeah, I am totally not trying to "cheat" anything. I just wondered about being allowed to pay OOP for her since she is a "disney adult" but, would want to just eat the kid food. Thanks!!

Yes, you can pay OOP for her meal. BTW-My dd is the same age, won't eat "adult" food, and this is her fav. restaurant. They bring out Goldfish crackers for the kids, and she loves their Mac & Cheese. She hasn't tried the kid's dessert, but she loves the cheesecake and the molten chocolate cake.
