California Grill - just drinks and sushi?

I have an ADR for California Grill on a night we're taking the kids to the Pixar Play Zone. We are eating at the Crystal Palace earlier in the day and not sure we'll be hungry enough to do a big meal justice. Is it frowned upon to take up an ADR slot just to have drinks and sushi?

We just had brunch at Cali Grill and I asked our server that very question - whether it would be “frowned upon.” He said it would be perfectly fine.

Totally fine! On a few occasions I went there for an app, dessert, and a cocktail. Perfectly fine. Enjoy.

Should not be aproblem with an ADR.
I have seen people do that at the bar and lounge area as well. those areas are first come, first serve and can be difficult to get depending on the time you arrive.
ADRs are easier.

We've done just drinks and sushi and it was not a problem at all. And enjoy! Some of the best sushi on property! As others have suggested you may want to consider the lounge too, but you couldn't be guaranteed a seat.

We have done drinks and and an app, no problem!

We love the flatbread pizza, homemade pepperoni....so good.

I was just looking at the sushi menu and think two of my girls will opt for that rather than choose from the dinner menu.

Perfectly fine... DH and I might do this while he is on vacation next month...

Sounds like the perfect meal to me. The sushi there is fabulous and drinks, well they are drinks. :)
