California Grill for MK fireworks

My husband and I are going in December. I have a 9:35 ADR for California Grill. The fireworks are at 9:30 p.m. Will we be able to go outside to view these before being seated? If not, I will likely cancel. Thanks for any help you may have.

Yes, I believe you will be able to. I think as long as you have a reservation at any point during that day you can return to watch the fireworks. Granted your reservation is shortly after the firework start time. Perhaps they will sit you earlier.

Yup. We did this in February with a 9:50 reservation. It also depends on where you are sitting. We had an amazing view and could see the fireworks perfectly from our table, so we opted to have a glass of wine and stay seated. They pipe the music into the restaurant so it didn't take away from the experience at all.

Yup, have done this before. They can take you up earlier to sit in the bar area for a drink and then they will let you go outside on the balcony to watch the fireworks.

Look at it this way...you're usually advised to arrive for an ADR at least 15 min early. Since Cali Grill is notorious for running behind, it wouldn't be unheard of to arrive a little earlier than 15 min out. Either way, that puts you at check in before fireworks start. It is pretty uncommon to be seated in that last 15-20 min before the start of Wishes, so its likely you'll be sent upstairs with a buzzer and can head straight out to the deck to catch the show before dining.

As long as you have a reservation for that night you could go up. We had a reservation at 6 and came back later to watch and there was no problem just going up.

Yes you can and just tell them you had earlier dinner reservations.

When Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is on, do the same rules for fireworks viewing apply? I looked at the schedule and for the evening that I have a booking for Cal grill (15 dec), there is no Wishes scheduled, but I assume this is because it a MVMCP night. I am being too presumptuous that we will still see the MK fireworks with this booking?

That's great to know. We have ressie's at 5:10. I'm glad we can come back for the fireworks!!
