...Who is allergic to fish?

Hi All!

I was wondering if anyone has had some vegetarian dinning experiences at California Grill, without eating sushi. It's one of my favorite restaurants and Id love to take my friend but she can't eat any of the fish dishes and I would hate to be eating a huge meal while all she can eat is a flat bread. I know from the threads I've been reading that a lot of chef's will make special meals for you but I was wondering if anyone here has had some specific experience at CG?

Thanks for the input!

My personal experience there was back in 2000, but I did have a great vegetarian meal ordering solely off of the menu.

Judging from http://allears.net/menu/menu_cg.htm You've got the following lacto-ovo options:

Triple Cheese - Pecorino, Asiago, and Provolone with Sun-dried Tomato and Arugula Pesto* $12

Heirloom Apple Salad - with winter greens, almonds, cranberries, maytag blue cheese, cranberry vinaigrette $14

Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli - with sun-dried tomatoes, pesto, shiitake mushrooms, and basil $14

Sweet Potato-Ricotta Tortelloni - with wild mushroom, crosnes, brown-butter-raisin vinaigrette, almond milk $28

When you make your ADR, tell the CM that your friend is a vegetarian. A few days before you go you can call and request a special meal if there's nothing on the menu that suits you, but there is likely at least one vegetarian entree. My best friend got vegan sushi (not on the menu) one time. It was very inexpensive and almost to pretty to eat.

Almost all WDW TS restaurants will make something off the menu for a vegetarian.

Actually their sushi chef is lauded, I'd expect you can get a vegetarian sushi dish. Just call ahead. It is very elegant and we received a high level of service, enjoy.

I'm sure you can get a non veg sushi dish too besides the pasta dish listed, unless that is good, as there are other apps and salads too. Everyone talks about all the other restaurants that make special dishes for veg that I am sure they will do this at the Cali Grill too.

They always have a great vegetarian option. I'm not a vegetarian & have ordered these a few times & they've always been great.

AND everyone at CG has always been super accommodating, in the event you want to ask for something special.

My friend asked for and got vegan sushi last week.
