Is this restaurant worth 2 table service meals on the dining plan even if you do not have a MK or Window view?

It will be me, my daughter who will be eating from a kids menu and my little sister, who knows nothing about Disney, this will be her first trip.

I might even consider doing it after my brother and his friend arrive. They are both kinda food snobs. :teeth:

Even if you don't get a table by the window, you can stil walk outside on the roof before and after your dinner. Not to mention the food is excellent. It's definitely worth it, IMO.

:thumbsup2 Definitely worth it in our opinion!!!

Yes. Bring the food snobs or they'll be jealous.

Definitely worth it ! On our last trip to Disney, we had to eat there a 2nd time because the first nite, we didn't bring a camera ! And we did not have window seats either time. Like a previous poster stated, you can still go outside to see what is, IMHO, the best view at Disney!! Have fun !!:thumbsup2

Last time we were there, I was not feeling well (not because of the food mind you) and the waitress just brought me endless amounts of gingerale. That said, I'd do it all over, sick or not, for the look on DS's face at the kids steak and the dessert sushi. You must go!

I've got a PS here for the first time ever this March! I can't wait!! Keeping my fingers crossed for that window seat, but the balcony sounds wonderful as a plan B.

Thank you for that information. :thumbsup2 I had no idea!!

I was looking at a menu and it looks like all they service is fish or chicken, is that right?

Nope. They also serve beef filets and pork (2 of the signature entrees). Vegetarian entrees avaliable on request, I believe.

TOTALLY worth it. But I must say, if you cringe at high prices and a steak is a steak to you, or would rather have a burger, then you might not consider it the great value that a food snob would. We consider it a must-do, regardless of how we pay for it.

As for the $$ value, I'm not sure what the going rate for at TS credit is these days. But, with app, entree, and dessert for 1 person, CG would cost you around $50 per adult, plus tax and tip. At $39 per day (DDP), you must be coming out ahead here.

Is it possible to request window seats? I plan on booking here for my mom's last night at Disney and I would love to time it for the fireworks while we eat. Does anyone know if I could request this, also what time should I make my booking for?

Thanks

Definitely worth it. I remember having duck and really enjoying it. I would not hesitate to tell you to go for it.

We ate there for the first time in August...we loved it so much we cancelled another dinner to go back a second time! We didn't have any problem getting a window table both times, but we ate early, not during fireworks time. If you like steak their filet is highly rated and delish, but I ordered the sauce on the side...I like a little sauce, but like to taste my steak, especially since I rarely eat red meat. The sushi is fantastic, get the Spicy Sensation! Yummo! Fish is excellent here as well, we never tried chicken. the sides that accompanied the entrees were really wonderful too. The goat cheese cake is silky, much finer tasting that regular cheesecake. I can't wait to go back!

Thank you everybody!!!

I will certainly be booking Garden Grill for our trip in December!!!
