california grill dress code?

Hi All

We have ressies for the grill during our stay for dinner, and me and my girls plan to wear sundresses and sandals, my DH plans to wear khaki shorts and a nice golf shirt or maybe a button down shirt.... will it be OK for him to wear his cayman crocs ? I have read varying info on dress code so looking for feedback from you all...

You will be fine. The "dress code" is very loose.

IMO crocs aren't appropriate but I don't make the rules.

Crocs beat the flip flops that people were sporting last year when we were at Cali. I always like to keep my family dressed a little more dressy, but comfortable. I think that this is more for me than the management. Most patrons are way-casual in their attire.

Indeed they are!!
For what it's worth, the dress code dosen't even mention footwear. Crocs, tennis shoes, sandals etc are all fine. We've even seen folks in rubber pool style flip-flops, although I'd personally classify those as "swimwear".

Anyway to all those who gave valued feedback thanks, appreciated. I want to try to find him some more dressy sandals or even something boat shoe looking, but he is so darn picky with footwear in the hot weather. He would live in bare feet all summer everywhere if allowed lol
