California Grill Dress Code

Has anyone ever eaten there?

I know they operate a "casual" dress code, but was wondering how casual.

I was planning on going in smart jeans, smart fashionable trainers and a polo shirt with a collar. Would this be acceptable? I'd hate to be turned away!!!

we ate there in september.....we dressed up for the event but i saw lots of various styles so you should be ok

If it wasn't an issue with taking clothes that I'd only wear the once, I'd dress smarter, but with always struggling to fit everything in our cases, a pair of my shoes, shirt and trousers would take up too much room!

We ate there back in April. DH wore pretty much the same sort of thing you are planning to wear and certainly didn't look out of place.

We ate there last summer, we ate quite late and it was a weekend and there was a lot of smartly dressed people (seemed like locals) we dressed smart casual and felt o.k.
This is a nice place and I would not turn up in clothes I would wear to the parks,
what you are looking to wear seams fine, I would not wear blue jeans, I would wear clothes that I would for eating at a golf club over here.

Just got back and we ate at CG, swap jeans for chinos and you will be fine. As it's a convention hotel you see a lot of suits but also a lot of polo shirts as well.

I spoke to reservations so i knew 100% what the dress code is.

Basically she told me anything is fine except beach wear, ripped clothing, cut off shorts, sleeveless tank tops and hats for men!!
