California Grill..Champagne?

My DD and her friends are celebrating her Birthday at the CG tomorrow nite? Do you think if I call the restaurant..and give my CC info they would let me send a bottle of champagne to the table? Sad I can't be with her...trying to think of a thought I can send to let her know I am thinking of her...

Anyone done anything like this?

We did this over New Years. My son had some friends dining New Year's Eve at Citricos and we sent a bottle of champagne to them. They included a card with a note. They were very happy with it and it was quite a surprise!

Did you call the restaurant directly? I keep getting voice mail.I know they aren't open yet though?

I initially went through the itinerary planning office of the Yacht Club and they got me in touch with the restaurant. If you already have the restaurant number, I'd just call it directly.

I am calling directly..and still getting the person at that number is busy message....I will give it 10 more minutes then call the Contemporary and see if they can help me...

They should do it no problem, but they"ll want to know what kind. Get the Fairy Tale Cuvee, only available at Disney and fantastic.

That's the one I planned on getting...they are 8 ...think I need 2? Probably hmm?

They open at 5:30 --I should get someone then.

I asked the same question about the quantity. The chef told me that a bottle of champagne typically gets 5 normal pour glasses. For eight people I would think you would need two bottles. Good luck! I'm sure they're going to LOVE it.

Okay I got hold of someone..unfortunately, her accent and comprehension weren't great..soo I just hope that it goes according to plan!

I might call back just before her reservation time and double check hopefully with someone else to be sure. Lot of money to have them go to the wrong table!!!

I will! She is there now...fortunately, a friend of hers also there called me about 20mins ago and I told him I had ordered 2 bottles and were there any problems to please let me know sooooo so far--so good!!!

My daughter did indeed get her 2 bottles of Champagne! She said they opened the 2 at the same time and put them on the table and unfortunately though they were 9 people all in all..they hardly touched the 2nd one.

What I was trying to say to the lady at the time was IF they blaze through the 1st bottle THEN add another...but she just couldn't understand me terribly well and my attempts to call back again was met with the phone just ringing and ringing....soooo all in alll...it ended well! She had a great time and that's what counts.
