decorate my table??

I am having dinner at the California Grill for the 8 of us and we will be booking a normal table in the restaurant.

I know we can reserve our table but with it being in the main restaurants would we be able to do our own decorations, like place names and favour boxes??

If so how would we get these over to the restaurant as presumably they wouldn't know what table to give us until we get there.

Any of you had this before??

You might call the restaurant directly, and speak with the manager about how to coordinate this. Maybe they can have you send them the seating arrangement and items you want placed where and do it for you?

I think they would be very willing to let you do this, but I agree with ahutton. I think your best bet would be to talk to the restraunt manager directly. I doubt you would have luck just calling the main WDW number.

I'm pretty sure that you can Lisa - I've certainly seem a couple decorated when I've eaten there at the same time as Intimate Wedding Parties.

Are you still considering this - it would be great to see the fireworks from there if your dinner is timed at the same time.

If not then Citricos private dining room which I've seen you've posted about is also a lovely room and the food at Citricos is just as good as CG and in some cases better

Hi Sam

We have gone with the California Grill, hoping we can ger reservations that is.

The only thing that put me off about Citricos was that you could only have the room for a set amount of time, they only had two sittings 5.30pm or 8.30pm, the earlier been too earlier and the latter being too late, so that kinda swung us in the direction of CG at the Contemporary.

My only concern is now that there is only 6 of us for dinner, will it look a little silly to decorate the table??

If we did go ahead and want to decorate the table how on earth would be achieve this as I expect they do not allocate tables until probably half an hour before your reservation. How would we get the stuff to them etc??

God i have so much going around in my head, there is still so much to do and not enough time. Its kinda starting to sink in now that its my wedding in 3 months and only 3 months which will go soooo fast too.

I ordered my wedding travel box today so thats another thing less to worry about.

Well I think CG is just perfect for you and NO WAY is it silly to decorate a table for just 6 people - heck I'd decorate for just 2 - this is your wedding day Lisa and you want to give it a wedding feel so go ahead.

Now 3 months I know does seem very short but you've still got time to get all your jobs done. Have you been writing lists? I found my lists very useful and I loved having the satisfaction of seeing things crossed off and it really helped me to visualise just how much needed to be done in the time frame.

Also Lisa remember that NOW is the time to buy any of those "summer" feel clothers you want for the trip or sun screens etc as come December that'll be harder for you to do bearing in mind our weather conditions.
