What time would you recommend booking a table at California grill

Our trip this September includes our 10 year wedding anniversary and just me and hubby plan a meal at California grill (without children) and want to watch fireworks with a glass of champers. - Tuesday 4th September

My question is what time is best to book

Another ADR question - what is the best way to book mde / website/ phone

Thanks in advance

Hi,

When we've gone in the past I'm sure it was either 7:30 or 8pm we had the table booked with the fireworks at 9pm that night. From what I remember reading at the time though they tend to assume that the evening reservations will want to see the fireworks and they pace the meal accordingly.

First reservation a few years ago was over the phone, the one the following year was through the website

I would book an hour to hour and half before the fireworks. Any later and it is unlikely you will be seated before the fireworks as people tend to linger. :)

hoping for a fireworks view is very hit or miss. There are many tables without direct view.
So, timing your meal with the fireworks has a good chance to have you away from the windows. Plus guests will have a tendency to stay at their table, even when they're finished, especially if they have a good view of MK

You will probably have to go to the outside viewing deck. Stand camp and hold your ground ... we were there for Halloween night, and a very drunk guest thought I was a wall he could lean against while we were watching hallowishes. Very unpleasant and rude.

If you don't want to take the risk of being half way through your sushi plate when Wishes begins, I'd suggest eating well before Wishes to be certain to have finished your meal.
Then you can stay outside on the deck waiting for the fireworks if the time is near. But you need to know that as long as you eat at CG on the day, you have the possibility to go back up to the restaurant at fireworks time

so, say you finish your meal at 8pm and Wishes is at 9pm, you can go down and walk around CR, do some shopping, whatever you like, and roughly 15 minutes before Wishes, go back to the 2nd floor and ask to go back up with the elevator. Your dinner receipt will grant you access to the top floor.
