California Encore in 2006?

Who thinks that the Disney Magic will return to Los Angeles in summer 2006?

I can think of a few reasons that this could happen:

-- "The Happiest Celebration on Earth" (Disneyland's 50th anniversary event) will run for 18 months beginnning in May 2005, so the event includes summer 2006.

-- It appears that DCL can get top dollar for their Los Angeles departures -- more than they can get for summer departures from Port Canaveral.

-- The repostioning cruises appear to be big hits.

-- As the lone Disney ship operation out of Port Canaveral in the summer, the Disney Wonder is assured full ships at higher than usual rates.

Horace Horsecollar - I actually read this but can not remember where. My guess would be Yes as well. Makes more bucks for Disney and that is what Eisner's number one goal is right now (well before he gets kicked out). - Mike

Gotta agree with you both. They are definitely getting top dollar for the CA summer, and Mikey E is all about the Benjamins.

especially if summer 2005 is a huge flamin' success ... they can pacify west coasters with the thought they'll be back in summer 2006, until they can get that bloody 3rd ship built

I'm guessing though that summer 2006 repositioning cruises will be higher priced than they were in sommer 2005

L.A in 2006 I think is a for sure thing.....

And just watch the prices soar....
