There seems to be more than a few of us CA residents on here, so I thought it would be fun to see how many there are of us. Also those from here that are thinking of buying a DVC are welcome too of course.
We're in Agoura Hills here, and our home base is VWL. We are also planning to add on when GC DVC opens.

We're from the SF East Bay and joined AKV this past August. Just got our deed last week.

I sure hope to get an add-on at GCV...but not sure DH is on board...we'll see :rolleyes1

I’m from beautiful Covina.:rotfl2: I became a member in 2003. I started looking into DVC 1998 but I wasn’t compelled enough to buy in until I gazed across DD at SSR. I just loved it! Did my first add on the next year and will do another one the second GCV goes on sale.:woohoo:

Hey I work right next to you in San Dimas :thumbsup2 and I live in Upland.

I only became a member the beginning of this year. I looked into SSR 2 years ago, but after staying there, it wasn't our cup of tea, but when AKV came out, we jumped on it. We love AKL and stayed there many times so it was the perfect fit for our family.

I'm 400 miles from the House of Mouse, south of Sacramento. We've been DVC members since 2005 at SSR. We sat on the fence for way too many years since we didn't think we'd go to WDW enough to make it worth it.

We've been hoping for the GC for many years and we'll be purchasing as soon as it goes on sale. If we find we have too many points (How can that be?:confused3 ) then we'll sale a few of our SSR points.

Temecula, CA here. Bought SSR in 06, and added on at AKL this spring.

We bought in 2003 at BCV. Hoping to own at CGV or Hawaii... Actually, we need more points but not sure where we want to add on.

Oh, I'm from Sacramento Area.

Checking in from Rancho Santa Margarita in South Orange County. We bought SSR in 2005. We're thinking of saving up to buy a small contract at the new Hawaii DVC.

Hey wdw4life - I grew up right next door to Covina in Hacienda Heights! I also worked at Northview High school - about 13 years ago!

We live in Salinas CA, the lettuce capital of the world and a short drive from Monterey & Carmel. It was love at first sight when we visited Disneyworld in 2006. Bought into Saratoga Springs soon after and added AKV this year. We Love everything Disney and would be thrilled to own at any of the resorts. GCV here we come!!! So happy to see some West Coast DVC action.

Another DVC Member chiming in from our fair state capitol ... at least currently! We have lived in the Inland Empire, South Bay, Bay Area, and now Sac-a-tomatoes and have been members since 2004!

We are VERY excited about GCV ... hard to believe we already have an acronym for a resort that has not even broken ground yet! I was just saying today that Californian DVC Members should have priority purchasing at GCV ... y'all with me!

Irvine here. Was on the fence since 2004 and bought earlier this year at SSR. They were offering great deals for DL passholders! Hoping to add at AKV or GCV!

We're from walnut creek and have been ssr members since 2005, bought resale okw in 2006 and am now thinking about buying in california so I have 11 months out in the place I go. We love it and used our points to do the med cruise this past summer!

We are in Lancaster, Valencia, Palmdale, Rosamond area at any given time.

We are so excited to own at SSR. We go every 2-3 years and are now able to go longer. For christmas we are staying TWO nights at GCH on the developer points. The normal rate with gov. official, AP rate or AAA. was well over $500 per night!!!! Plus the resort fee on top of that. So its a great deal just for those nights. JW

San Diego here (La Mesa to be exact). We own at SSR and became members almost one year ago.

We are talking about adding on for GCV but have not yet decided. We have 2-200 pts=400 pts but with there being minimal DVC rooms at GCH we feel that we may never get to stay there unless we do.

We go to DL all the time and had no problem using the extra pts to stay there, know that may be a loosing deal unless they have lans to keep the pts for the non Villas the same as is know.

I live in New York with my family now, but my parents and sister are still in southern California (Riverside, Oceanside and Pacific Palisades). We're staying at the GCH next spring and plan on inviting our family to spend different days with us while we spend the nights in between at the hotel. If that goes well, we'll definitely add-on at GCV (and hopefully get my sister to finally join DVC as well).
