California Adventure!!!

California Screamin is sooooooooo much fun. The onboard soundtrack adds so much to ride. Ride it at night it is amazing. I didn't have the courage for the Maliboomer, but love TOT.

Absolutely, get a free tortilla at the Mission Tortilla Factory. Clam Chowder in a fresh baked bread bowl is hard to beat! The Pixar Play Parade is also fun. Don't forget the Electrical Parade, a Disney classic.

It's rumored to be leaving sometime as part of the refurbishment going on there. It may be replaced by a parachute ride, but we don't know if and when.

Oh, I hope not-I love Maliboomer. DD8 isn't tall enough to ride it yet-she's got 4 more inches to go. Knott's had a parachute ride but it's nothing like Mal. And KBF took out their parachutes years ago and now the have Supreme Scream (good, but not as good as Mal..) (not in same location as parachutes.)

Ditto what they all said before me.-DCA has some great rides!

At this point, it's just a rumor, so it should be open when you're down there. I've read so many rumors over the years that haven't remotely come true.

A few other unique things at DCA:

1. Push the Talking Trashcan: usually found on the path between Redwood Creek Challenge Trail and the Golden Dreams Theater

2. Corn Dog Castle: yum! I especially love the spicy corn dog.

3. Toy Story Mania opens in 3 weeks!

4. High School Musical 2: I'm in my 30s and I enjoy this. There. I said it. LOL!

5. If you have time and your budget allows, the Cruzin' Disney's California Adventure Tour (Segways) is awesome. I did this last December and had a blast.

According to the time line, Maliboomer will be removed starting next year, so you should be fine!

You can do the whole park in one day

Whoo, I sooooo disagree! We spent 2.5 days just in DCA on this trip and still haven't gone on everything. Of course, we get to go on things several times in a row, and other things we have to split our turns since DS isn't tall enough for some stuff and refuses to go on other things, so that is extra time. But even on my solo trip I didn't get to go on everything.


My 4 year old's fave there is Monster's, though he also says Grizzly is even though he's 1/2 inch to short for it. We love Grizzly (in any weather, but wear a poncho and put your stuff in the free 2 hour lockers!) and Soarin' is great, and if you like coasters, Screamin' is incredible. But bug's land is a wonderful place to hang out, the Muppets 3D movie was great fun, TOT is good...so much to do there!

I think if you spent the whole day in the park and use FPs correctly then you can do it all. I've done it all in one day with 4 other adults and two kids in tow. Granted, you probably wouldn't be able to take time to fully enjoy the park, you'd still be able to do it. But that shouldn't be a concern for you, Eeyore76, since you'll be there more than one day

We've also found Push in Tomorrowland. Between Buzz and Star Tours.

If you don't have the budget for the Segway tour you can experience riding a Segway in Innoventions at DL. I did it a few trips ago and it was cool! You only get a few minutes and it's inside but hey, it's free! I plan on doing it again soon.
