I really want to experience CA Grill this trip, but the menu is too gourmet for our tastes! Is the menu posted on Deb's site all there is to it, or does it list just their specials? Could we make a PS and just have drinks and desserts if we don't think we could find anything we like to eat?

Why do you want to eat there if you don't like the food? I suggest eating where you like and going to the bar area and viewing area of CA Grill after, that way you get the food you want and can have some drinks at the bar then maybe see Wishes from the viewing area without paying for something you don't think you will like.

The California Grill is one place I would not miss!!:D
We went this past April with my DH & DD (age 6) for dinner. The menu is limited (Deb's site pretty much shows the complete menu) but sooo good.
How about just ordering drinks, an appetizer (the flatbread is great), salads & dessert. They have lots of typical items for kids like mickey mac & cheese, etc. The setting & the service- Rob (or Ron??) was awesome!! The fireworks over the castle were so beautiful (especially with the dimmed lights & piped-in music). I wished that we could afford to go there more than once per trip!! ::yes::
It definitely was our favorite meal the entire trip!! Have fun!
:wave2:

Alot of the entrees are not as foreign as they sound. For example the pork tenderloin (very good, btw) is just like eating very good roast pork. They also have an excellent steak, fish dishes and pasta dishes. We like a variety of different foods so we also enjoy the sushi bar very much--this will not be for plain eaters.
The flatbreads are also excellent and are like very, very good speciality pizzas but better than an average pizza because the crust is so thin and delicous!

We put off going to the California Grill for a number of years for this very reason. Much to my DH's dismay, I'm one of the pickiest people I know

Sooooo, we finally made a PS & experienced this restaurant for ourselves. I must tell you that their filet was one of the best I've ever had! True, this was probably the only thing on the entire menu that I would have even considered eating, but it was very yummy!! If you like steak, this would definitely be a good choice!

That said, I'm glad we ate there & experienced the 'famous' California Grill, BUT, DH & I have both agreed that it's not a place we need to visit on every trip. We enjoyed ourselves, but still didn't really see what all the fuss was about.

Bottom line, go and check it our for yourselves. I don't think you'll be disappointed & you might just find this restaurant to be one of your favorites!

:D
