Is it worth two credits?
I have a friend who is trying to decide if she should keep her ADR or switch to Hoop de doo.
She has two kids aged 4 and 6.

:) DH and I use 2 credits to eat at Ca Grill every year when we get the DP. When we do not have DP we pay OOP to eat there. If I had children 4 and 6 I would do Hoop Dee Doo for them. People do bring children to the Ca Grill but there is nothing for them to see or do after dinner and in my experience (DH and I do not have children) children in Ca Grill are restless after dinner. Usually FW are around 9 and to make the kids wait to eat for that would not be fun. It can also be cold out on the deck if you go outside to watch the FW. I believe children have a right to eat anywhere there parents do as long as they are made to behave for the environment of the restaurant. The kids would much rather do Hoop De Doo.

I would take the kids to HDD and then place them in a Kids Club and the adults would enjoy CG.

:) To specifically answer your question--yes it is worth 2 credits in IMO.

Thank you! We haven't eaten there but have heard the food is amazing. You can return to watch the fireworks even if you dined earlier in the evening right? I though I remember reading you could. It would stink if they had to be eating at 9pm to see them.

I just realize I posted this in the wrong spot. I meant to post it under restaurants, is there a way to get it moved?
Thanks!

Moving it. And with kids that age I'd recommend Hoop de Doo.

Yes, I think it is worth 2 credits.

But, I have kiddos 5 and 2 and I would not take them there, I would do HDD instead.

I've never been to Hoop de Doo-just doesn't seem like something I would enjoy.

I have taken my children to California Grill. My kids love how "special" it is. My youngest was 5 the first time she went. When I asked her where she wanted to celebrate her 7th birthday she chose California Grill over a character meal.

I always make an ADR for when they first open. I have always received a window seat with that first booking.

I have seen fireworks from there twice. I have to say I think it is better to see Wishes from inside MK.

I usually do not DDP points and wouldn't want to use 2 points on the kids meals there vs say 2 character meals. I always just pay OOP.

YOu can still watch the fireworks from there, but not eat there. When we take young kids we eat at Chef Mickey's, then go upstairs for dessert at the bar and watch the fireworks.
