We are planning a visit to Cali Grill for appetizers and/or desserts but one in our party cannot tolerate spice or too gourmet ingredients. I realize this is what the chefs thrive with at this venue, so my question is if they ever do a "basic" flatbread, as this seems the most simplified on the menu. Possibly just putting a basic cheese (mozzarella, ricotta, or parm, for example) and prosciutto, possibly? Again, I realize this could be only if they have ingredients in house, but just wondering if they would even consider doing this specialized? Thanks in advance.

You are going to a gourmet restaurant. It may not be a fit for someone who does not like gourmet ingredients.

If they have the rotisserie chicken flatbread you can just ask for them to hold the spicy crema. It's not an overly gourmet dish.

Thank you and yes, I'm highly aware that this is a gourmet restaurant. The reason for my question is to plan accordingly to see if anyone here has had similar experiences and if the Chefs would even consider an alteration. I just don't want to leave ONE person out of the group because of sensitivities when others want to go for the ambiance, view and yes, for the food. I know Disney is very accommodating when it comes to intolerances, etc, so just questioning if this could be done without incident. Thank you for your reply.

That is an option if it is on the menu. Thanks so much!

There's a provolone and tomato pizza on the CG kids' menu. Doesn't get more basic than that.

in addition to the chefs enjoying making creative dishes, they also want their guests to be able to enjoy their meal. Whether it is from allergies, dislikes, whatever, any chef can modify a meal. Leave sauces off, change out the side, etc. Your simple eater will be fine. Look at the base meals, the protein the sides available. You can ask for something to be modified within reason. It is not reasonable to ask for things that are not available in that kitchen.

Another option is to look at the children's menu. There may be something there that can be had in an adult portion

go and have a great time!
