Was yesterday some sort of holiday there too? Or in all of Canada?

I noticed that the Winnipeg Jets played a game against the Flames in Calgary that started at 2pm Mountain Time.

Since we’re on the subject, the Winter Olympics in 1988 in Calgary were awesome.

Family Day holiday in Alberta yesterday. And the Stampede rocks in Calgary as well.

The third Monday in February is Family day in Alberta and most other provinces. Manitoba celebrates Louis Riel day, PEI - Island Day and Nova Scotia calls it Heritage day. I don’t believe there is a stat holiday in Quebec in February..,

Thanks for the info.

BTW, I despise those Monday holiday afternoon NHL games. The Flyers played yesterday afternoon too. The Boston Bruins did also, and they are the biggest culprits, for many many years.

All three games yesterday afternoon were make up games rescheduled for covid postponements.
