Hello all,

My DH and I were originally planning to go the the World late Feb to early March. Now with the teacher's strike looming, we thought we might take advantage of not pulling DS out of school, since they are probably going to be off for awhile anyway. I have a couple of questions. Since I don't know for sure when they are going to walk (although I think it will be January), I was wondering what the weather was like then? I know the crowds are pretty low, but is it warm enough to go swimming? How should I pack? Shorts, t-shirts, sweaters and pants? A little of everything?

This trip, planning might be a flying by the seat of my pants!! We basically get 72 hours notice that the teachers are going to walk, and then I head into planning and booking mode!! Hey no use in sitting around here waiting for them to come back, when we could go to WDW!!!!
:bounce:

WDW in the winter months can be a little tricky. Mostly, it is beautiful warm weather, especially if you are used to Calgary weather, it's great! We went in late January and the temps were 30º C everyday minimum! It was TOO warm for me

But it can dip into some cooler temps so just pack a few warmer items in your suitcase just in case.

Here's a great website for past temps, I looked up January 2004 and displayed a monthly map with the highs and lows of each day!

Just think, more than likely, we will be in a cold snap of at least
-20º C, so anything is better than that right? ::yes::
