calculating date for cancellation w/o penalty

If arrival date is December 17th, then can I change/cancel on November 16th without any points going into holding? The "more than" in conjunction with 31 days is a little confusing . . .

Yes, you can change or cancel a reservation 31 days or more prior to arrival. For Dec 17th, that is November 16th. Canceling or changing 1 - 30 days prior puts points into holding and canceling on the day of arrival forfeits all points.
