Calculating 3 Days for Memory Maker Pre-Purchase

This may seem like a silly question but I'm just not sure how to calculate the three day waiting period on the memory maker pre-purchase. I pre-purchased memory maker today and will check in this Sunday. Will any pictures we take on Sunday evening be included or is that outside the 3 day waiting period?

We purchased it back on May 10th and looking at the email we got it is not too specific. It states the same thing as the purchase page:

  • Any photos taken within 3 days from the date Memory Maker is purchased as part of your package will not be included in your Memory Maker window and must be purchased separately.

So my guess is that the 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th would all not be part of the memory maker (for us). So if you bought it today, I don't think Sunday would work but any pics from Monday on should be included.

I just used the chat feature on the Disney website and was told that the waiting period was 72 hours and that any pictures taken on Sunday evening should be included. I guess we will just have to wait and see whether they show up or not.

OP here just following up on my question - the answer is yes. I purchased MM on Thursday around lunch and the pictures we took on Sunday evening appeared in my account.

Do you recall if your purchase time and park arrival time just happened to fall about 72 hours apart or if you watched to make sure you didn't take any pictures until at least 72 hours had passed?

I ask because I thought there had been an old thread saying that it's just 3 calendar days. In your case, that would mean the Thursday you purchased is not included, Friday and Saturday not included, then Sunday is all clear even if you purchased late in the day Thursday. Just wondered if your experience tested the exact timing at all.

Thanks!

I'm not sure if my experience will completely verify the 72 hours or not because I purchased around noon on Thursday and the first pictures were not taken until about 5:30 Sunday afternoon.
