Cake topper

Hiya,

With a custom wedding cake do you get a cake topper? or do you have to buy one separately through Disney Floral? I know with the escape package you get a Mickey and Minnie topper but I haven't heard anything from my WP about a custom wedding cake topper?

Unless DFTW has changed something, custom weddings have to purchase their own topper. We used the white chocolate castle.

Sometimes the design you pick includes something like a cake topper - like a fondant frog prince or a bunch of flowers. But no, they don't give you a cake topper the way they do at Escape weddings...

Thanks for your replies.. Do you know how much the white castle topper is? I'm stil having the same cake from the escape package as there's only a small group of us so I might be able to get the Mickey and Minnie topper off ebay?? If you get your own topper when do you need to give it to Disney so it's on your cake? I'm from the uk so it would have to be after I arrive (4 days before) or on the day. Do you think this is ok?

The white chocolate castle is something like $210. There's a lot of different Disney cake toppers. Definitely check ebay, and also Lenox. I'm giving my cake topper to my EM at our rehearsal. She didnt want it any earlier than that! There's a thread on here somewhere where everyone was posting their cake toppers, you may get some good ideas.

I wonder.... if you're having the Escape wedding cake, maybe they will give you the Escape wedding topper too. It seems silly not to, since they kind of go together. You might ask your planner about that...

I had an intimate ceremony, but brought my own topper. My planner didn't want my topper until 30 minutes before the ceremony. I told them the size of the base and they allowed room for it and just plunked it on at the last minute. Looked great and couldn't tell it wasn't decorated around. I can post pictures if anyone is interested.
