Cake Question

I fell in love with a pic of the Mad Hatter Cake. (The one with the Micky heads on it, and Micky and Minnie wedding ears on top) Does any one know if you can order just the top part of the cake, for a small wedding cake? The whole cake would just be way too much for four of us, but I thought it would be nice to have a little celebration cake to eat when we go out to dinner afterwards at one of the resort restaurants. Also, who does the Mad Hatter cake? I looked at the Cake thread, and there are so many places and numbers, I don't know where to start!

There are bakeries at the Boardwalk and at the Grand Floridian, depending on where you want the cake delivered, I'd start with a call to one of those two bakeries. They can probably recommend where to go from there.

As to whether or not they can do a top only of a mad hatter cake, I don't know. I agree that even a two layer one (i.e. the size of the Escape wedding cake) would be much too big.

You might also ask about mini cakes. I'm not sure if they can do those in the mad hatter style, but it might be something else to consider.
