How does the pricing of the cake work? Do we pay a set fee for the cake (for example, $500) OR is the cake priced per person? I am just trying to figure out if we are going to be at the $125 pp minimum with what we are currently thinking of doing, and the cake may impact that. Thanks for any help.

From everything I have gathered, the cake counts towards the "day" minimum but is separate from the food and beverage minimum per person at a venue(s). I am thinking if I go wishes to get a tiny cake/sheet cake and worry more about the dessert party that night! That way we still cut something but get to have lots of yummies later that night!

Actually, if you have your reception at the Grand Floridian, the cake does count toward your minimum per person. :thumbsup2

Also, (someone, please correct me if I'm wrong) it depends on the cake - Mad Hatter and Whimsy cakes are priced by number of tiers, rather than per slice. So, for example, if you want a 3 tier Mad Hatter cake, you will be paying a set price for it regardless of the number of people.
