Cake order disappointment

The cake order was attached to the dining reservation. There's really no good reason, it wasn't delivered. You should be compensated for the cake. It doesn't matter, that it was delivered. It was a day late.

It was supposed to be delivered during their dinner. It wasn't delivered until the next day. If your pizza shows up at your door the day after you order it, do you consider it on time?

My favorite disboard post of the day, thanks for the LOL. ;)

I am sorry, OP. We too have experienced the disappointment of a Disney bought-and-paid-for treat that never arrived (we were refunded but never received the item). Unfortunately, that taught us to check and re-check rather than rely on Disney's slipping customer service. I am glad they were apologetic but I honestly think they should have comped the cake and, as a previous PP said, I am not usually comp-happy by any stretch. I hope your DS and DIL loved it anyway, despite being a day late.

Sorry to hear that happened:confused3

I think it is increadibly sweet that you sent them a surprise. I can imagine it must have been a huge disapointment to have CG drop the ball like that. However, I think it probably worked out better that they sent the cake to the room the next day. It's hard to eat any dessert at CG after a meal there. The portions are fairly large and everything is so delicious, you can't exercise any restrain. I know I would love to get a surprise cake delivered to my room.

Well, that is just really sad.

1) OK.
2) But, Disney gets 47.5 million visitors (2009 year).
3) There are going to be errors.
4) Especially for things out of the ordinary or special.

NOTE: If we each did 130,000 things a day, how many errors
would we collectively make? I criticize Disney for their bad things
and wrong things and cheap things.. But, in some cases, I do stand
with them. On this topic, I gotta go with WDW. There was an error,
and they did their best to make up for it.

I'm sorry, we will just disagree. This is the second error...this seems to be the current trend for Disney. Not acceptable in my book.
:. This is my second problem ordering something (and for the same couple) When they got engaged they were have dinner at Narrcossee and I ordered a bottle of wine to be brought out to them....that never happened either! I think I'm pretty much done ordering suprprise gifts from WDW!

So sorry! I've been there!! We ordered a cake for my oldest DD's 4th birthday--it was actually her birthday too! A very nice CM at the Poly called and they said they didn't have any record of it :headache: The restaurant (Ohana) just gave us one of their standard cakes. It was pretty disappointing!
