I've never tried to do a cake before. I'm always amazed by the creativity of people on here, and I've tried to research and come up with something, but I'm coming up blank.
Our trip is in January. It's a family trip.
My family (DH, me, kids) are going 1/19-1/28
My brother & his girlfriend are flying down 1/21-1/28
My parents will be with us 1/21-1/25
This is a reunion type trip, as my brother and his girlfriend have been living in Australia for two plus years and we haven't seen them. We "gifted" this trip (brother and I) to my parents for their 30th Anniversary, and the trip overlaps with my DH's 30th birthday.
So I was wanting to do a cake that incorporated both. I need to look at local party stores and see if I can get stick things that say "birthday" or "anniversary" and just have Disney put "Happy 30th..." on the cake and then I can put the stick birthday/anniversary on it?
I'm over analyzing this, I know, but it's so confusing! lol.
I don't want a big cake, or to spend more than $100. I know they'd think it was special, and there will be 6 adults, 2 kids, but with FD we're not going to want to have a bunch of cake sitting around going to waste.
My parents are skipping parks on the 24th (we're doing a private photo shoot for the whole family, as my bro/his gf will return to Australia from there so thats the last my parents will see of them for years) in the afternoon.
So I'm thinking about having the cake delivered to POFQ the last night? I figured that was the least crazy day since they won't be going to the parks. We're all doing dinner together on property, one last "hoorah!" before we split up again.
...Does anyone have any idea how to order this cake? Meaning, WHAT, I guess, would you order? How would you do it??
TIA. I over-complicate things, so thanks for reading !
