Hi All! Can someone tell me what it is like? Do we get to keep the toasting glasses and stuff? I know we get the cake topper :) Is it really awkward for everyone to eat their cake there? I am trying to decide if we will box it up for dessert or eat it there.

Hi  I had my wedding at SBP just last month. We did cut the cake and have it served right there. It wasn't akward at all. They set up tables and chairs either inside the gazebo or on the lawn. I'm not sure what dictates where they do the set up, but I was happy to have mine under the gazebo. My ceremony was at 2:30pm, we were eating cake at 3pm!! I think it was a nice sugary midday snack since our dinner ressie wasn't until 5:30pm.

Ours was very similiar, 2:30PM with dinner ressies at 5:30. We had our service and right after cut the cake. It was really nice and I had my ipod loaded with nice music so as we ate we mingled around and talked to people. It wasn't awkward at all.

So, the violinist doesn't play during the cake part? Or did you just choose to have your IPOD? Hmm...I guess I'd prefer my IPOD with our own music for cake time now that I think about it...:)

Good to know! I would prefer to eat the cake then since our dinner will come with a different dessert at V&A that we are paying for!

Does the violinist still play? And do we get to keep the toasting flutes?

Yes the violinist still plays and no you don't keep the toasting flutes.

However, if you want to have keepsake ones, I'm sure that can be arranged!

Yup the violinist will continue to play! He went around to all the tables and asked for requests. I asked to hear the specromagic music again b/c I didn't really hear it during our recessional. And then my SIL of course requested the one song on my do not play list :lmao: and I let him play it anyhow!

I've been wondering....how does the Spectromagic music sound on a violin?? I can't imagine how that would sound. Could you tell what music it was? :goodvibes

I think with like any music that you listen to the instrumental version there are parts that you're not sure what it is, but then the recognizable parts you know for sure. It sounded great and it made me happy because even if my guests didn't know what it was, DH and I did! I was really shocked at how recognizible the Imperial March (darth vader's theme from star wars) was! Every one knew what that was. I'd say that if you know what you're listening to, you'll recognize it!

Thanks! I've been trying to pick my music out, but I really wanted FUN music (did the traditional stuff the first time around). But I wasn't sure if a violin could pull it off! We really want some Pirates of the Caribbean in there somewhere! My DH would dress up as Jack if I let him! :lmao: I would have loved to hear the Imperial March, too cool! :cool1:
