Cake Boss show?

DGD saw one on there (Cake Boss, I believe) that she would love to have for her birthday, but I missed that episode.. Something about a "shopping theme" - a purse, a shoe, etc.. Hopefully I'll catch it on a rerun..

I don't like the yelling either, but I just took it as stereotypical Italian family behavior, (meaning it seems a bit over the top/scripted - I don't think people act that way IRL all the time) and it seems he's very loving towards his wife and kids. The cakes are amazing! He did one for his niece's 13th birthday that I'll bet my dd would like for hers, which coming up in less than 3 months! (how'd THAT happen???)

Oh - thank you so much for providing that link!! Those cakes are awesome!! I loved the shopping cake - and the fire engine? Unbelieveable!!! Who ever would have thought you could do all of those things with cakes?? The talent at that bakery is unreal..

You're welcome, but the original credit belongs to AlternateEgo back on page 2 who posted the link to the bridezilla ep. I watched that one and then kept watching others, so I had just seen the one you mentioned. but yes, it was amazing how they wired it and made it smoke!

I think that this episode was fake. The bride described what she wanted and he drew the sketch. It wasn't anything like what she asked for but she agreed immidiately?! I don't think so.

He made a cake EXACTLY like the sketch and she freaked out?

He left her alone in the room with the cake? I work at a bakery and that would NEVER happen. Then, after she destroys it, they make her another cake that appears even more labor intensive at the last minute?! NOT.

I don't understand why they would have him "delivering" the cake to the bride's suite instead of the reception hall. I suppose that is so they could stage the drama.

I hate tv that assumes we are idiots.

I'm pretty sure the whole disgruntled bride thing was "staged" as well.. If you watched her carefully - right from the get-go, it definitely appeared that she was "acting"..

With this particular show though it doesn't bother me if they assume the viewers are "idiots" - LOL - because the only reason I'm watching these two cake shows is to see these amazing, beautiful cakes - and marvel over the talent that goes into creating them!! Just gorgeous!
