Does anyone watch the cake boss? Did you watch the last one with the bride from heck? Are there really brides like that out there?

It wouldn't shock me if there were. Years ago, when DW and I were planning our wedding, we were both on a couple of forums and mailing lists. I took a pretty active part in the planning process, but I came across several bride-to-be's who flat out told me that "It's her day, not your day, and you are only allowed input on her day inasmuch as you do not contradict anything she wants. At all. You are allowed the pretense of being involved because she is humoring you - and if she disagrees with you, she is right and you are wrong."

Some women (and possibly some men, though I have not seen it) just become a little unhinged during the whole runup to the wedding.

:lmao: I just started a thread about the bridezillas show. There sure are, apparently!

I love cake boss. His cakes are gorgeous. I wish I could come close to making cakes like that! The fire chief one was my favorite.

I can't imagine someone doing that. What an awful person. I think he showed a lot of class by doing the second cake. She was lucky he liked her mom.

I watched that with my mouth on the floor. He's a bigger person than I am because she would be getting the original cake with her artwork and all.

I was just as amazed how she wouldn't bother to look at it after he re-did it. She was a spiteful thing, I think she was upset that he redid it. I think her plan was to ruin it to spite her mom and didn't count on him actually creating another cake. The irony was she wanted something colorful (as in cheery, to match your sunny personality???).

I REALLY wanted to see the fiance after that debacle.

Anyone taking bets on how long they think the marriage will last :cool2: ?

agnes!

She was a freak plain and simple. A spoiled brat and I would love to see her in the real world where mommy doesn't fix her stupidity.

I meant to post something about this yesterday!

I absolutely CAN NOT BELIEVE that girl! She was so utterly disrespectful to her mother during the planning session, but I chalked that up to some underlying tension that might exist between the two of them. But then when she RUINED her cake that he had worked so hard on (and that she had agreed to at the planning session), I was HORRIFIED!

He is a bigger person than I am because I would've taken that ruined cake to that spoiled brat's wedding! That's what she deserved. I have NO CLUE why on earth someone would agree to marry her.

Did you notice the mom making excuses to Buddy when she wouldn't come out to see the new cake? She told Buddy she was sorry but that it was "just a stressful day." Oh give me a break! Gee, I wonder why she acts like that if her mom has always allowed and made excuses for that type of behavior! :sad2:

DH and I tivoed it and watched last night.

The mother put up with way to much grief from her daughter. If either of my daughters ever spoke to me the way she did during the consultation I would be out of there.

She was so sullen I couldn't imagine anyone marrying her.

DH and I both said we would have delivered the ruined cake to her and made sure she paid.

My parents would've spanked some sense in to me if I behaved like that. I laughed when Buddy made the comment, "Good luck!" to the fiance.

I was waiting for the punch line. I thought for sure this was a set up, some joke that they were playing on him. I just couldn't imagine any grown woman being that dismal and disrespectful.

I was actually thinking that girl must be mentally ill - I cannot imagine a healthy, well adjusted adult behaving like that, even if she is a bridezilla!

I'll have to ask about the bride the next time I go there. Not sure they would admit if it is scripted or not.

My was friends with the founder of the bakery (the "star's" dad) and we've gone there ever since i can remember...I can't eat pastries anywhere else. Delicious!

I loved how all the workers were refusing to do another cake for her. The gall of some people is just astounding! I am impressed that he did another cake not for her but for the mother. At least the bridesmaids were polite enough to come out and admire the cake!

Ughhh I wish my sattelite would work. We had a storm come through and knowcked it out of alignment. Been since LAST Wednesday and I have to wait until Saturday for them to come out and fix it.

At least they gave me a credit for the time it isn't working.

Does anyone know if they have online viewing for this show? I am also missing my bridezillas :(

You might be on to something.

On Facebook the bride and a few of her friends say it was all scripted.
